Every year we go on a trip with Andy’s family, usually at the beginning of summer. This year we had the opportunity to go to California. Andy’s grandparents were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year and invited everyone to celebrate with them by paying for a hotel room for three days and buying a one day ticket to Disneyland. It was very sweet and generous of them. Andy’s parents added on to that time and paid for a additional three night stay for everyone. We lucked out. We had a ball while there. It was so much fun to see so much of the extended family that we hadn’t seen in a while. We loved the weather, the beach and of course Disney! This time we decided to go to California Adventure. It was so much fun to see Cars Land. The boys were in love. I seriously felt like it was so real. I love how Disney brings everything to life. We really enjoyed it and NONE OF US GOT SICK! Well at least in our little family of four. Unfortunately the pukes like always came to visit. But we were lucky enough not to get it. The first day there, we went to a picnic with all the family and then we went and enjoyed some time on the beach. OOOH how I love the ocean, but I certainly didn’t get in. Way too freezing for this gal. But my fish Nixon enjoyed the water as did Andy. The chickens ( Watson and I) put our legs in an that was about it, but we enjoyed the sand. Watson showed a large improvement from last year when we went to the beach. He did not like the sand for a full half hour last year until he finally got used to it. This year he let is burry him. A major improvement.
One of my favorite parts was renting bikes on the beach
The last day we went to Knottsberry farm. Nixon had a breakthrough here as he has been terribly afraid of heights. Being with his cousins helped him a lot and he loved it there. Both the boys did. We couldn’t get Watson to leave.
Goodbye California! We love you! Until next time!
