32 stinking yrs. old! Ugggh! At least it was a good day! My birthday this year landed on a Friday. I always love it when birthdays land on weekends, for some reason it just makes things so much better!
In the morning this was my breakfast in bed, I am a sucker for protein shakes for breakfast, added fruit makes it even better.
Later my good friend Telicia came over and brought balloons a gift and a happy birthday sign with her. It was darling and very sweet of her! My other good friend Melissa had really sick kids, but still somehow managed to bring by a darling cake stand with a cake. I loved it. Telicia andher kids hung out for a bit at our house and then later we went and ate lunch at Zoe’s Café. Yum! Andy had most of my day planned out like always. He’s great at birthday stuff. He worked most of the day and came home a bit early. Once he got home, we headed out to The Gaylord Texan. A really great hotel that has fabulous scenery and a great waterpark.
The first thing we did was put out stuff in our room and head out to the great waterpark they have. My favorite part of the park was the lazy river. I love those things. I could float in one all day.
Unfortunately we were only at the waterpark a short while before a MASSIVE lightning storm broke out. We thought maybe it would just pass by and went and tool cover, but then a few minutes later, they closed the park… LAME. We still had fun though. Because we had to go inside, we decided to explore in there. As soon as we got inside the power went out in the building. HA! A lot of excitement for one night.
After walking around and exploring a bit, the rain calmed and we were able to go out to the roof to watch fireworks on the lake. Not everyone gets to watch fireworks on their birthday. There was also a dj on the roof and a little dance party. We had a ball.
All in all I’d say it was a great birthday!
